Purity ≥95% SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin level <0.1 EU/µg Function Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3- and alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. Also binds disialogangliosides (disialogalactosyl globoside, disialyl lactotetraosylceramide and disialyl GalNAc lactotetraoslylceramide). The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Mediates inhibition of natural killer cells cytotoxicity. May play a role in hemopoiesis. Inhibits differentiation of CD34+ cell precursors towards myelomonocytic cell lineage and proliferation of leukemic myeloid cells (in vitro).
50 - 60 kDa, under reducing conditions; 45 - 55 kDa, under non-reducing conditions.

Recombinant Human Siglec-7/CD328 Protein (rp167976) - Protein Bioactivity Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of human red blood cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.5 ‑ 2 µg/mL.
Recombinant Human Siglec-7/CD328 Protein (rp167976) - SDS-PAGE 3 μg/lane of Recombinant Human Siglec-7/CD328 Protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and non-reducing (N) conditions and visualized by Coomassie® Blue staining, showing the band at 50 - 60 kDa under reducing condition and 45 - 55 kDa under non-reducing condition.
