生化机理
BIRC7, a new member of inhibitor of the apoptosis protein family, is expressed in fetal tissues and most solid tumors in humans. BIRC7/livin expression is a novel prognostic marker in adult acute leukemia. Livin/BIRC7 is a member of the inhibitors of apoptosis proteins family, which are involved in tumor development through the inhibition of caspases. Livin/BIRC7 is specifically over-expressed in ACC, suggesting that it might be involved in adrenocortical tumorigenesis and represent a new molecular marker of malignancy.
Post-translational: Autoubiquitinated and undergoes proteasome-mediated degradation. The truncated protein (tLivin) not only loses its anti-apoptotic effect but also acquires a pro-apoptotic effect.
Store at -20°C for 1 year. Avoid freeze/thaw cycle.
