Lignin peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.14) is a heme-containing peroxidase that belongs to the lignin-degrading enzyme system. It holds significant application potential in areas such as lignin biodegradation, the pulp and paper industry, the textile industry, the transformation and degradation of aromatic compounds, and environmental pollution control. Assay Principle: Lignin peroxidase catalyzes the oxidation of veratryl alcohol to produce veratraldehyde, which exhibits a characteristic absorption peak at 310 nm.
