Mouse anti Human Gelsolin Antibody, Monoclonal (D1), could be used for WB, IHC and so on. Application WB: 0.01-3 µg/mL IHC: 5-20 μg/mL Protein Function Calcium-regulated, actin-modulating protein that binds to the plus (or barbed) ends of actin monomers or filaments, preventing monomer exchange (end-blocking or capping). It can promote the assembly of monomers into filaments (nucleation) as well as sever filaments already formed. Plays a role in ciliogenesis.
The antibody is directed against an epitope located on the 47 kD peptide derived from a chymotryptic cleavage of gelsolin. This peptide contains the carboxy terminal actin binding site for gelsolin.
