呈弱碱性,微有特臭,可燃。与极易还原的汞、铜等金属氧化物和多孔性氧化物接触时,会起火分解。能与水和乙醇混溶,不溶于氯仿和乙醚。能从空气中吸收二氧化碳。对玻璃、橡胶等材料有腐蚀性。水合肼为强还原剂,是医药、农药、染料、发泡剂、显像剂、抗氧剂的原料;大量用作大型锅炉水的脱氧剂;还用于制造高纯度金属、合成纤维、稀有元素的分离。此外,还用来制造火箭料和炸药等。也用作分析试剂。

应用

一水合肼已用于合成2-(6-乙胺-3-乙阈值-2,7-二甲基- 3H-黄酮-9-基)苯甲酸肼和盐酸乙烯基苄胺。在存在Ni-Pt合金纳米颗粒和介孔CeO2载体组成的负载型双金属催化剂的情况下,它也可以作为氢的来源进行分解。 一水合肼可作为还原硝基芳烃的还原剂: 过氧化氢官能化碳纳米管中存在硝基芳烃的情况下。4-碘-3-硝基茴香醚生成2-碘-5-甲氧基苯胺。 氧化石墨烯(GO)形成石墨烯。
