Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood monocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.
Function Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils. May play a role in neoplasia and inflammatory host responses. This protein can bind heparin. The processed form MCP-2(6-76) does not show monocyte chemotactic activity, but inhibits the chemotactic effect most predominantly of CCL7, and also of CCL2 and CCL5 and CCL8.
Post-translational N-terminal processed form MCP-2(6-76) is produced by proteolytic cleavage after secretion from peripheral blood monocytes.

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in 20 mM PB, pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl.

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1 % BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20 °C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
Recombinant Mouse MCP2 Protein (rp154359)-Protein Bioactivity Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood monocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/mL.
Recombinant Mouse MCP2 Protein (rp154359)-SDS-PAGE Recombinant Mouse MCP2 Protein was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) and non-reducing (N) conditions and visualized by Coomassie® Blue staining. Showing a band at 8.5 kDa under reducing conditions and 11.6 kDa under non-reducing conditions.
