The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the synthesis of asparagine. This gene complements a mutation in the temperature-sensitive hamster mutant ts11, which blocks progression through the G1 phase of the cell cycle at nonpermissive temperature. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene.

Recombinant Asparagine synthetase Antibody (Ab089838) - IHC Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human bladder, using Recombinant Asparagine synthetase Antibody (Ab089838).
Recombinant Asparagine synthetase Antibody (Ab089838) - IF/ICC IF analysis of Recombinant Asparagine synthetase Antibody (Ab089838) in MCF7 cells. The cells were fixed and permeabilized with 100% methanol for 5 minutes, and blocked with 5% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Cells were stained with Recombinant Asparagine synthetase Antibody (Ab089838) at 1/50 dilution in blocking buffer overnight at 4°C, and then incubated with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (AF647) (Ab181958) at a dilution of 1/1000 for 1 hour at room temperature in the dark (red). Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
