辣根过氧化物酶提取自辣根（Armoracia rusticana）根部，属于亚铁血红素过氧化物酶家族。该酶为单链多肽，含有四个二硫键，是一种糖蛋白，碳水化合物含量约占18%。其碳水化合物组成因具体同工酶而异，可包含半乳糖、阿拉伯糖、木糖、岩藻糖、甘露糖、甘露糖胺和半乳糖胺。辣根过氧化物酶常用于增强微弱信号，提高目标分子（如蛋白质）的可检测性。

Biotin, also known as vitamin H, is a small molecule (MW 244.3) that is present in tiny amounts in all living cells and is critical for a number of biological processes. The valeric acid side chain of the biotin molecule can be derivatized in order to incorporate various reactive groups that are used to attach biotin to other molecules. In the context of immunohistochemistry (IHC), biotin is conjugated to antibodies or to the enzyme reporters used to detect target antigens.
Horseradish peroxidase is isolated from horseradish roots (Amoracia rusticana) and belongs to the ferroprotoporphyrin group of peroxidases. HRP is a single chain polypeptide containing four disulfide bridges. It is a glycoprotein containing 18% carbohydrate. The carbohydrate composition consists of galactose, arabinose, xylose, fucose, mannose, mannosamine, and galactosamine depending upon the specific isozyme. Horseradish peroxidase is used to amplify a weak signal and increase detectability of a target molecule, such as a protein.
Biotinylated Horseradish Peroxidase is prepared by covalently conjugating highly active HRP (≥250 U/mg，Rz≥3) with biotin through a unique labeling technique. This enables Biotinylated Horseradish Peroxidase to be widely applied in immunohistochemistry, ELISA, gene probes, and signal amplification detection systems in other disciplines, working in combination with streptavidin to achieve signal amplification.
